Police Council Meeting Schedule

The meetings begin at 6 pm and are scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday, February 8, 2024
  • Thursday, May 9, 2024
  • Thursday, August 8, 2024
  • Thursday, November 14, 2024

The location of the Regular Meetings will be posted on the agenda at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.

The Police Council holds Special Meetings as needed. The date, time and location of Special Meetings will be noticed at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

Council Members

A joint powers agreement forms the Central Marin Police Authority and its governing Police Council. The Police Council is comprised of two appointed council members from the City of Larkspur, the Town of Corte Madera, and the Town of San Anselmo. These appointed council members develop policy for the Police Authority. Police Council members or alternates are not paid or compensated for their time during any terms.

Town of Corte Madera

Elected Official Compensation

The Central Marin Police Council members do not receive any compensation for salary, meeting fees, reimbursements, health and retirement benefits, or any other benefits.

Organization

Overall management of the Police Authority is the function of the Management Committee comprised of the city and town managers. Operation of the Authority is assigned to the Chief of Police.
