Central Marin Police Authority Traffic Division
The Central Marin Police Authority's Traffic Division was formed into a full-time operation in 2000. The Traffic Division consists of three police motorcycle officers, one being a traffic sergeant. Our Traffic Division is currently riding BMW police motorcycles, driving Dodge Chargers and a Dodge truck.  In addition to the BMWs, two CMPA police patrol vehicles have been outfitted with moving radar which is used for speed enforcement.

Traffic Safety
The CMPA's Traffic Division has been actively trying to reducing fatal and major injury collisions through a variety of selective traffic enforcement campaigns including pedestrian right-of-way campaigns, seat-belt enforcement campaigns, child safety seat enforcement, and speed enforcement campaigns.

CMPA's Traffic Division strives to enhance driver awareness through our selective enforcement campaigns, public education efforts, and by responding to the public’s traffic safety concerns.
