Critical Reach

APB

In 1996, the Central Marin Police Authority installed the TRAK System, a computerized technology program designed to notify other departments of an abduction. The TRAK System is a special computer system developed by Social Tech (now CRITICAL REACH), which law enforcement can use to create and distribute high quality flyers and lineups quickly and easily. TRAK flyers can be transmitted to fax machines and to other law enforcement TRAK Systems.

Critical Reach purchased TRAK (Social Tech) in 2004. This brought an infusion of new ideas and newer technologies to a proven system. Critical Reach bulletins can now be delivered to three types of electronic addresses:

* Critical Reach Systems (other Law Enforcement Agencies)
* E-mail addresses
* Fax machines

The following six (6) Marin County police departments have the Critical Reach System.
